Application Submission

The DoD HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program accepts applications annually. For the FY24 internship, applications can be submitted from October 15, 2023, to January 05, 2024, 11:59 EDT.

Before Applying

Please note that the application will require the following information:

  1. General Information
  2. Primary Address
  3. Contact Information (two separate emails and two separate phone numbers)
  4. Institution Information
  5. Current Transcript from an HBCU/MI
  6. Current Resume
  7. Internship Informational Questions
  8. Laboratory Selections (see the participating laboratories page for the full list)
  9. Essay Questions

If you start your application but need to pause, the system will ask you for an email and send you a link to make changes or finish your application.

Please review the information you have provided before submitting your application. While you can save your application and continue it later at any time, once you submit the application, it cannot be changed.

All applications must be submitted by January 5, 2024, 11:59 EDT.
Any applications received after this date will not be eligible for consideration.
